Overview
This one-day workshop session will focus on the basics and foundations of software copyright, trademark, patent and other intellectual property issues. The workshop covers the legal and practical issues that arise in drafting and negotiating software licenses. The workshop provides training, deep knowledge and experiences in the drafting of intellectual property (IP) license agreements and the best practices in IP enforcement, IP management and valuation.

About Speaker:
Dr. Mohamed Hegazy, Director of intellectual property Rights, ITIDA
Hegazy is the Director of intellectual property Rights (IPR) office in information technology industry development agency (ITIDA) .He has effective practices in managerial and research work for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the legal aspects in information technology and communications (ICT) for more than twenty years. He is a board member in the Permanent Copyright Office in the Ministry of Culture & board member in the national intellectual property committee in Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also shared in drafting and editing E-Signature law and the new IPR law in Egypt. Moreover, he is an expert in front of economic courts according to the Justice Minister's decision. Finally, he was assigned as the head of ICT regulation committee ICT in MCIT.
