About Empower Tech: Transforming Lives through ICT Skills

EiTESAL, in collaboration with GIZ, proudly presents the Vocational Training Program for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This initiative aims to empower PWDs by equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to thrive in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry. Through comprehensive training sessions, hands-on workshops, and mentorship, participants will gain the confidence and expertise to secure meaningful employment and contribute to the tech sector.

Project Objectives
The primary objectives of the Vocational Training Program for PWDs are:

Skill Development: Provide specialized training in ICT skills tailored to the needs of PWDs, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet industry standards.
Employment Opportunities: Facilitate job placements by connecting participants with leading ICT companies and organizations.
Empowerment: Enhance the self-confidence and independence of PWDs by helping them achieve professional success.
Industry Inclusion: Promote inclusivity in the ICT sector by advocating for the hiring of PWDs and demonstrating their valuable contributions.
Awareness and Advocacy: Raise awareness about the importance of vocational training for PWDs and encourage other organizations to adopt similar initiatives.

This project aims to train 300 PWDs to build and enhance their technical skills in software specializations such as web development and testing. This training will eventually increase opportunities to match labor market requirements and improve their economic standards.

Partnership with GIZ
The partnership between EiTESAL and GIZ brings together two organizations with a shared commitment to social inclusion and economic development. GIZ, a global service provider in international cooperation for sustainable development, offers extensive expertise in implementing vocational training programs and fostering inclusive growth.

The Vocational Training Program for PWDs represents a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable ICT industry. Through the combined efforts of EiTESAL and GIZ, this initiative not only empowers individuals but also sets a precedent for other organizations to follow. Next Phase
Building on our successful collaboration with GIZ, we are thrilled to announce the next phase of our initiative to empower PWD for workplace equality.
This phase will include:

Online Technical Training (Programming, Web development and SW testing).
12 Training visits by project's mobile lab to different governorates.
Onsite technical trainings in Alexandria, Mansoura & Assuit.
