About InnoEgypt
InnoEgypt was EiTESAL’s arm to foster the national transformation toward innovation-based economies, combating unemployment through sustainable knowledge and empowering young entrepreneurial start-ups.
InnoEgypt worked on two interlinked tracks:
- First, it empowered young entrepreneurs by incubating 40 start-ups in five different industries: ICT, FashionTech, FoodTech, AgriTech, and Construction.
- Second, it defined and empowered supply networks and value chains to understand market needs, aiming to create better potential and develop opportunities within a newly designed ecosystem.
Four entities were involved, each focusing on a specific industry. EiTESAL incubated ICT, Sekem and Techno-Khair worked on FoodTech and AgriTech, and MFK focused on FashionTech and Construction.
The total project’s fund was approximately 1.8 million euros, with each start-up receiving 12,500 euros over a three-year incubation period.
