“Borg Al Arab Innovation Cluster” is the first cluster of its kind in Egypt marking the unequaled cooperation between the government and the private sector in innovation. The consortium consists of renowned members of all relevant fields with the objective of enabling innovation and entrepreneurship through public–private partnership (PPP).
The Cluster is an NGO with a virtual platform that integrates the academia, industry, and entrepreneurship to boost the competitiveness of the industry, develop the academic curricula, and encourage the creation of startups.
“Borg Al Arab Innovation Cluster” is set within Silicon Waha’s technology park to enable innovation and entrepreneurship in ICT in the fields of IoT, Smart Cities and Robotics by creating an ecosystem that helps creating new job opportunities and providing accumulated experiences.
The cluster is Integrating and merging modern technology with our daily lives has become a reality and so imperative, not only to achieving more prosperity. Attracting investments of the business sector of the Cluster’s geographical region is an essential mandate. These investments aim at contributing to the creation of new jobs and startups.
The cluster membership is mainly; multinationals, private and public academia, entrepreneurship support organizations (incubators, labs, accelerators, co-working spaces), Industrial enterprises, and ICT NGO’s. The cluster is Partially funded by ITIDA and other national organizations. The cluster aims to establish a mature ecosystem for technology innovators and entrepreneurs in the northern governorates of Egypt.
